Partner FAQ
Clear answers before the work begins.
Understand why Northstar Premier requests pre-award quotes, what a quote means, and how responsibilities may be divided if the government makes an award.
Why is Northstar Premier asking me for a quote before the contract is awarded?
Accurate local pricing is essential to a responsible government proposal. Northstar Premier may request pricing during the solicitation period to confirm market cost, capacity, availability, and scope understanding.
Does providing a quote commit my company?
No. A preliminary quote supports Northstar Premier’s proposal development and does not, by itself, create a subcontract or guarantee work. Any selected relationship would be documented separately.
What happens if Northstar Premier wins the government contract?
Northstar Premier will confirm the final scope, schedule, compliance requirements, and commercial terms with the selected partner before work begins under a formal subcontracting arrangement.
How are payment terms handled?
Payment terms are established in the final subcontract and may vary by opportunity. Northstar Premier does not ask partners to rely on an unstated payment promise during the quote stage.
Does my company need government contracting experience?
Not necessarily. Some opportunities value relevant commercial experience, while others specify government experience or past-performance standards. Northstar Premier reviews each solicitation individually.
What licenses and insurance may be required?
Requirements depend on the service, jurisdiction, site, and solicitation. Northstar Premier confirms applicable licensing, insurance, safety, access, and certification requirements before final partner selection.
